Inspiration
Recently, we have been completing projects around video games based on C++, now we want to transfer our skills to the current ongoing situation and make a game without any guidance from the professors.
What it does
It plays a text-based simulator game, giving a narrative on how you would survive the pandemic shown on multiple eyes. For the first time, you can experience the pandemic as an elderly and see how you would outlast the outbreak.
How I built it
We built it solely on our knowledge from taking 2 Computer Science courses on C++. We used classes, headers, and functions to churn it all out.
Challenges I ran into
Some of our challenges we ran into were our very limited knowledge around the Computer Science world. (We don't have a clue how node.js works at the time!)
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
We learned how to work together, communicate online, and built an entire project without any guidance.
What I learned
We learned how to work on side projects outside of what the class requires.
What's next for Coronavirus Contagion Campaign
The next thing we'll do for our game is to make the game fun and challenging along with completing the narrative of our game. Given the time constraints, we weren't able to fully flesh out our idea, but we hope the spirit of the game will live through the competition.
How to run
