CROWDSOURCE.

Empower users on major social media platforms to input raw data about their health status and receive a real-time gauge about their potential risks of coronavirus infection.

TRACK.

Empower Public Health Task Force teams to more accurately understand and respond to damage, and to provide real-time numbers about potential risks in “hot-spot” regions before hospital visits.

MINE.

Empower public health officials with raw data about presumptive “hot spots” and exposure areas through real-time data mining and mapping of data submitted by respondents.

Social media users around the U.S. are staying home and practicing social distancing.

Let’s make them part of the solution.

PROJECT PROPOSAL

Social media networks to encourage users to participate in the Pandemic Emergency Triage tool, empowering them to instantly receive health information about themselves while providing important data to public health agencies. The Triage would ask the following questions:

  1. Are you feeling any symptoms of COVID-19?
  • Fever greater than 100F, body aches, cough, shortness of breath, diarrhea, loss of taste or smell, etc...
  1. Have you been tested for COVID-19?
  2. Have you been exposed to an individual with a positive or likely case of COVID-19?
  3. Have you stayed home for the past two weeks?
  • If not, what public places have you visited over the past two weeks?
  • Who have you interacted with over the last two weeks? (Privately tag users).

The Triage platform would provide a real-time Confidence Gauge, indicating likeliness of being infected with COVID-19, and would provide real-time information to privately tagged individuals who may be exposed.

Case Examples

-GREEN- Individual A who has been home quarantining for the last 2 weeks and has not left home or interacted with anyone:

  • 100% safe as long as this person does not interact with anyone that has not been quarantined for 2 weeks or visited an ORANGE place.
  • Will turn ORANGE If they interact with an individual that has an ORANGE or RED status.
  • Will turn ORANGE If they go to a place visited by an individual that has an ORANGE or RED status.

-ORANGE- Individual B who filled the questionnaire and does not feel any symptoms BUT has interacted a week ago with an individual that is showing symptoms. Individual C who filled the questionnaire and does not feel any symptoms BUT have been to an area label orange (unsafe):

  • Until these individuals get tested, they are Questionable and NOT safe to interact with anyone and should start a 2 weeks quarantine.
  • Confidence Gauge of each person they interact with will get affected and turn ORANGE.
  • All the locations these individuals have visited to for the last 2 weeks should be labeled ORANGE.
  • These individuals should quarantine and not go anywhere.

-RED- Individual D who filled the questionnaire and is feeling the symptoms:

  • NOT safe. This individual should not interact with anyone and should start a 2 weeks quarantine.
  • Confidence Gauge of each person they interact with will get affected and turn ORANGE.
  • All the locations this person has been to for the last 2 weeks should be labeled ORANGE.
  • This individual should quarantine and not go anywhere.
